ATM Cyber Security There is no doubt that those who are intent on attacking ATMs and their systems are often extremely sophisticated perpetrators. The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) have published a briefing paper for their members written by Douglas Russell, DFR Risk Management. The paper consolidates current knowledge covering the methods used to jackpot ATM dispensers and compromise data using ATM malware and black box electronic devices.
